1. About Our Products

We sell handwoven ikat clothing, accessories, and home decor, along with an ikat-print line made from cotton-viscose blend fabric.

• Handwoven items are made by artisans in Uzbekistan using traditional techniques recognized as part of UNESCO-listed cultural heritage. As handmade textiles, minor variations in pattern, weave, and color between the photographs and the item you receive are natural and not considered defects.
• Ikat-print items are machine-printed reproductions of ikat patterns and are clearly labeled as such; they are not handwoven.
• Where relevant, we provide garment measurements rather than standard size labels, particularly for one-size items. Please check measurements before ordering.

2. Prices and VAT

All prices on the Site are displayed in EUR and, where applicable, include Dutch/EU VAT. Prices are subject to change without notice, but the price shown at the time you complete your order will be honored.

3. Placing an Order

By placing an order, you make a binding offer to purchase the item(s) in your cart. We will confirm receipt of your order by email; this confirmation does not constitute acceptance. A contract is formed once we confirm that your order has been dispatched or otherwise explicitly accept it.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order, for example in cases of stock unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraud. If we cancel a paid order, you will receive a full refund.

4. Payment

Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Full payment is required before an order is dispatched.

5. Shipping and Delivery

We ship internationally. Estimated delivery times will be shown at checkout and may vary by destination. Risk of loss and title for items pass to you upon delivery to the carrier, except as otherwise required by applicable consumer law. Customs duties or import taxes for shipments outside the EU are the responsibility of the customer, unless stated otherwise at checkout.

6. Right of Withdrawal (Returns)

If you are a consumer purchasing from within the EU, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason. We go beyond this minimum and offer a 30-day return window from the date of delivery.

To return an item:

• Contact us at thesaffronfashion@gmail.com within 30 days of delivery.
• The item must be unused, unworn, and in its original condition with tags attached.
• You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or was sent in error.

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will issue a refund to your original payment method within 14 days.

Exceptions: Items that are custom-made, personalized, or explicitly marked as final sale are not eligible for return, as permitted under EU consumer law.

7. Faulty or Damaged Items

If an item arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 14 days of delivery at thesaffronfashion@gmail.com with photos of the issue. We will offer a replacement, repair, or full refund, including return shipping costs, in accordance with EU conformity rules (goods must match their description and be fit for purpose for at least 2 years from delivery, per EU Directive 2019/771).

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including photographs, product descriptions, artisan footage, logos, and brand names (“The Saffron”, “SaffronNL”, “Saffron Bazaar”) — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use this content commercially without our prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Dutch law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or your purchase, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on our part. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, transport disruptions, customs delays, or supplier issues affecting artisan production in Uzbekistan.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent Dutch courts, without prejudice to your right as a consumer to bring proceedings in your own country of residence under EU law.

If you are an EU consumer, you may also submit a complaint via the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time you place an order will apply to that order. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
