This dress is unapologetically itself. Pink and warm yellow, woven together by hand into a pattern of interlocking flames on the bodice and large heart-shaped medallions on the skirt. The kind of dress that makes people ask where you got it. The kind of dress you remember wearing.
The Fabric
The fabric is authentic Uzbek ikat cotton - hand-woven in Central Asia using a thread-dyeing process that has been practiced for centuries and is recognised by UNESCO as cultural heritage.
What looks like a bold graphic print is actually colour held in individual threads, woven together on a loom. The slight variations in the pattern are not imperfections. They are evidence of hands.
The Silhouette
A wrap midi: adjustable side ties let it sit exactly where you want it, and the matching obi-style belt defines the waist. Short cap sleeves, deep V-neck, gentle A-line skirt to mid-calf.
